Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that his government will continue to work for the well-being of the common man and that the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has succeeded in turning times of crisis into opportunity.

“We have not been distracted in natural and man-made disasters and neither will we in the future. No matter how many crises may arise, we will continue to work for the well-being of the common man, ”Thackeray said in a statement issued on the occasion of the completion of two years of tenure as CM.

Thackeray, who is recovering in a private hospital after spinal surgery two weeks ago, thanked the people of Maharashtra for their support for the government.

The CM further said that most of the government’s last two years have been spent tackling the COVID-19 pandemic in a systematic and effective manner. “Despite the pandemic, the government has worked hard on various fronts and managed to turn the crisis into an opportunity,” he said.

Thackeray further said there was no negativity in his government and administration while battling the pandemic. “We have worked hard to improve industrial investments, agricultural infrastructure, housing, employment, water supply, solar energy, the environment, tourism, forests, and the focus has been on on how the common man will get the real benefits, ”he added.

Thackeray has listed various decisions and works such as Hindu Hrudaysamarat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Corridor (Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway) soon to be opened and Coastal Road, Mumbai Trans Harbor Link, metro routes and highways will boost transport in the metropolitan area of Mumbai.
